FARGO (KFGO) – Two DUI arrests were made during a sobriety checkpoint on the I-29/52nd Ave. S off-ramp in Fargo last Saturday.
The State Patrol and Cass County deputies worked the checkpoint between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
1,000 vehicles passed through. 13 drivers were screened for impairment. In addition to the two drunken driving arrests, four drug-related citations were issued along with two for paraphernalia.
Following the checkpoint, troopers conducted saturation patrols and made four DUI arrests and one arrest for DUI test refusal. Three driving under suspension citations were given out along with others for cocaine possession, no liability insurance, not wearing a seatbelt and texting while driving.
One of the drunken driving arrests came as a result of a rollover on I-94. The driver had minor injuries.
