Membership
Members are a vital part of River Keepers. It’s easy to join, just go to riverkeepers.org/membership, use the form to pick the membership level you want, and choose if you want to pay one-time, monthly, or annually. There are fun benefits associated with different levels of membership such as a T-shirt, a hip pack, or a 2 hour guided canoe/kayak tour. Members provide financial resources but also show community support.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller
Last year 1466 people volunteered 3970 hours to River Keepers project, events and activities. That’s almost the equivalent of two full time employees! The more volunteers we have, the larger the impact on the Red River and our community.
River Keepers has a lot of opportunities to fit your need/want. Maybe you want to develop a skill, share your expertise, spend more time outdoors with your friend or fill time when you are in your home. Whatever it is, turn that interest into a service for the Fargo-Moorhead community.
Encourage friends, families, your employer, other businesses, organizations and classrooms to volunteer their time or resources to River Keepers. It will be a good experience! One of our favorite quotes from a student last year was that he “didn’t know volunteering could be so easy and fun”.
