MOORHEAD (KFGO) – One man is dead after a house fire in north Moorhead.
Battalion Chief Adam Puetz says the call to 2008 56th Avenue N. came in just after 10 a.m. Thursday.
“There was heavy smoke coming from the house,” Puetz said. “We didn’t see any fire, but we knew something was on fire. We tried to make as quick of a knockdown as we could.”
A deputy state fire marshal will assist the Moorhead Fire and Police Departments with the investigation.
Puetz says two dogs were rescued from the fire.
Moorhead Police, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Sanford Ambulance, and the Salvation Army responded to the scene.
