WASHINGTON, D.C. – Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has a short list when it comes to his running mate on the independent presidential ticket.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Kennedy has been in talks with NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former Minnesota governor and professional wrestler Jesse Ventura. Kennedy later confirmed the two were at the top of his list for potential running mates.
After originally running as a Democrat, Kennedy focused his efforts around an independent campaign last year, spooking loyalists of both Donald Trump and Joe Biden, who worry he’ll pick up supporters who would otherwise back one of the major party candidates.
He plans to announce his choice in the next two weeks.
