Tips and Tricks to Catfishing on the Red River Class
River Keepers has partnered with Brad Durick Outdoors to host this Tips and Tricks to Catfishing on the Red River Workshop on Wednesday, March 20 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Carlson Library in Fargo. If you enjoy catfishing on the Red River or are thinking about getting into it either from shore or a boat, this is the class for you. He will start at the beginning with how to choose what gear you will need, how to rig it up and use it, bait, and basic locations to get you off on the right foot. Even if you have never catfished before, this class will get you on a track to catfish success.
This class is free! However, pre-registration is required through Eventbrite. Ticket sales close March 19 at 5 p.m. (limited spots available).
Captain Brad Durick is a nationally recognized catfish guide on the Red River of the North, seminar speaker, author, and River Keepers 2022 Friend of the River Award Recipient.
River Keepers Monthly Volunteer Series: Event Prep
Join us for our new volunteer series! The first Thursday of the month in the evening we will be hosting one of our ongoing volunteer projects. River Keepers staff will train you in at the beginning. Meet other River Keepers volunteers while helping the community LEARN, SUSTAIN and ENJOY the Red River!
In April, help us prepare supplies for various upcoming events including Race the Red, our Resilient Yard Series Workshop, and the Red River Water Festival. Tasks include things such as creating supply bags, laminating, folding, taping, cutting and hole punching.
Interested in this project, but can’t make it to the event? All of the projects we will be hosting for our Monthly Volunteer Series are ongoing projects that Individuals, pairs, or groups of volunteers can participate in on their own time.
