BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) — Former North Dakota First Lady Grace Link has died at the age of 105.
Her husband, Art Link, served as governor from 1973 to 1981, spent years in the state Legislature, and served one term in the U.S. House of Representatives. He died in 2010.
Gov. Doug Burgum called Grace Link a dedicated and passionate public servant to both the state of North Dakota and the nation. He calls the Links one of North Dakota’s “truly legendary couples.”
The Art and Grace Link Lifetime Achievement Award has been given out for many years by the Democratic-NPL to North Dakotans who embody the same sense of service to their state and country.
