Homelessness has been a growing concern in the Fargo-Moorhead area. It is particularly visible in downtown Fargo. Rocky Schneider with the Downtown Community Partnership joined me on Afternoons Live to discuss a plan they were recently introduced to. The plan is called the “Milwaukee County’s Plan to End Chronic Homelessness,” authored by James Mathy.
The “housing first” model simply means to address the chronic issues with homelessness, a person must first have shelter. From there, they can begin to work on other challenges that have led to homelessness.
