FARGO (KFGO) – Senator John Hoeven has helped secure more than $50 million in federal funds for ag research in North Dakota.
Much of that funding will be for research at NDSU. That includes $2 million to build a new policy research center at NDSU.
Hoeven says that the project will help keep NDSU as one of the premiere research universities in the U.S.
“Having a national policy center for agriculture at NDSU combined with more than $50 million in funding for ag research really puts North Dakota State University at the forefront for agriculture in America,” Hoeven said. “[It] is vitally important for farmers and ranchers in North Dakota as well as across the country.”
The funding will also be used for other projects like farm service loans and chronic wasting disease mitigation.
