ST. PAUL, Minn. – A Ramsey County Sheriff’s deputy suffered injuries from shrapnel on Friday night when a suspect shot at him during a vehicle pursuit in St. Paul.
Authorities say the suspect fired at least two shots from a rifle during the pursuit, which struck the dash of the deputy’s car. Shrapnel hit the deputy in the vest.
The deputy is expected to be okay.
The suspect is still at large.
