MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) – A man who suffered a gunshot wound and was arrested after being discharged from a Minneapolis hospital has been charged for shooting nine people last summer.
Jaden Butcher, 18, was shot in the foot in Minneapolis Monday. On Wednesday, he was arrested and is facing nine counts of first-degree attempted murder for the Aug. 20 shooting.
Minneapolis police say Butcher was one of two men who parked a vehicle in front of a business and opened fire on a large crowd of people. Investigators found 42 bullet casings at the scene.
Six juveniles between 15 and 17 years old, a woman, and two men were hurt in the shooting. Three of the juveniles and one of the men suffered life-threatening injuries.
Butcher’s next court appearance is later this month.
