MINNEAPOLIS – For the second time this month, Minneapolis police are investigating a string of robberies believed to have been committed by groups of juveniles.
On Sunday, police said there were 14 such crimes, mainly in south Minneapolis, including a carjacking at gunpoint.
Police Chief Brian O’Hara said four robberies occurred in the 5th Precinct, all in less than 18 minutes.
Police said someone was carjacked at gunpoint in northeast Minneapolis. The stolen car was then used in another armed robbery a mile-and-a-half away a short time later. It appears all of the victims were female victims and there were no injuries.
