FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) – A longtime Cass County District Court Judge says he’s considering a run for Congress.
Judge Wade Webb says several people began encouraging him to jump into the race after Republican Congressman Kelly Armstrong announced he’s running for governor.
Webb is a Republican. He was appointed to the bench in 2003. He did not indicate when he would make a decision.
If Webb decides to run, judicial conduct rules require him to resign before entering the race.
Other Republican House candidates include businessman Tom Campbell, Public Service Commissioner Julie Fedorchak, and former North Dakota State Rep. Rick Becker of Bismarck.
Democrat Trygve Hammer is also in the race.
