FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo-Moorhead Salvation Army announced that there were fewer “drops” during the annual Red Kettle fundraiser for the three-months ending December 31, 2023.
Major Abe Tamayo said the campaign had donations totaling slightly more than $836,000, short of the $950,000 goal.
“It is tough, inflation is affecting all of us, those in need, those who are giving and we see more people with fewer dollars,” Tamayo said Monday.
Major Tamayo also said the bell ringer registrations were down significantly. He said when there are no bell ringers at the Red Kettle locations, there are no donations.
