
MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) โ One man is dead, one is hurt, and a third is in jail after a shooting in north Minneapolis Friday.
According to police, the shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. in an alley where two men walked up to a car with a man and 2-year-old child inside. Gunfire erupted shortly after.
Officers and first responders attempted life-saving measures on one of the men in the alley, but he died at the scene.
Darnell Lewis, 21, was arrested and booked into the Hennepin County Jail.
The man in the car drove to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
All three men are in their 20s.
The child wasnโt hurt.
โI am grateful for the outstanding police work of our responding Minneapolis Police officers,โ Chief Brian OโHara said. โThey took quick action and attempted to save a life while also making an arrest of a gunman and recovering handguns.โ
Investigators are trying to determine who fired the shots and whether any came from inside the car.
