BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – Bismarck Police say three people from Bismarck were arrested Thursday night after two fled a traffic stop and one hindered an investigation.
According to a department spokesman, Vincen Morales, 19, Galat Tut, 26, and Desiree Rodriquez, 28, were in a vehicle that was stopped by officers around 9 p.m. Morales and Tut fled on foot. Officers were able to tackle Morales, who allegedly kicked at officers before being arrested for refusal to halt and preventing arrest.
Tut was able to get away. Rodriquez was a passenger in the car during the initial stop and was released.
Later that night, police say Rodriquez was driving the same car about a mile away from the first stop and officers pulled her over. Officers asked Rodriqez about Tut’s whereabouts, but she said she didn’t know where he was.
While officers were talking to Rodriquez, they saw someone hiding under a blanket in the back seat. They ordered the person out of the vehicle and it was Tut.
Rodriquez was arrested for hindering an investigation. Tut was arrested for refusing to halt.
In November, Morales was arrested for stealing a facemask from Scheels in Bismarck, refusing to halt, possession of a stolen firearm, and wearing a mask during a crime of violence. He was given 42 days in jail and 18 months probation for those crimes.
