Cabin destroyed by fire along Lake Ashtabula near Valley City

BARNES COUNTY N.D. – Valley City Firefighters responded to a cabin fire along Lake Ashtabula around 10:30 am on Monday.

Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said no one was inside the seasonal cabin at a resort property when the fire broke out. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Valley City Fire Department and the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire.

Lake Ashtabula is about 14 miles north of Valley City.
