HANKINSON, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) says one man is dead after a crash south of Hankinson Friday morning.
The crash happened on I-29 at Exit 1 near the Dakota Magic Casino just after 8:00 a.m.
NDHP says a minivan was traveling northbound when it left the road and hit a road-closed barricade, then went into the east ditch and hit a highway sign.
The driver, a 59-year-old Fargo man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office and Hankinson Fire Department responded to the scene. The crash is under investigation by the NDHP.
