FARGO (KVRR/KFGO) – The Fargo Public School District is holding a series of meetings this week to answer questions about its Long Range Facility Plan.
The plan will be used to help determine what happens to some of the district’s aging schools and how to handle the consequences of those changes.
Fargo Public Schools Director of Facilities James Hand said it’s important that people understand the information. It will assist in helping shape and modify the current draft of the plan. It will address the age of the district’s school buildings and differences in the quality of learning between schools.
Hand said, “Even if we maintain the status quo, there’s a lot of needs in our facilities. So it’s the perfect time to evaluate what’s the most effective way to utilize taxpayer dollars and provide the best possible outcome for the students.”
The final meeting is coming up Thursday night at Fargo North High School.
