ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced Monday his lawsuit against Evergreen Acres Housing and Dairy for nearly $3 million in unpaid workers’ wage restitution, unlawful deductions, and civil penalties.
Ellison said the company “robbed well over several dozen employees an average of 12 to 32 hours from each two-week pay period.” Ellison said this is one of the largest wage theft enforcement actions in the history of the attorney general’s office.
The lawsuit was filed in Stearns County District Court. The company has not yet filed an answer to the litigation.
