Multiple agencies, including Red River Valley SWAT conduct search warrant in south Fargo

FARGO (KFGO) – A 29-year-old Fargo man is in jail after multiple agencies conducted a search warrant in south Fargo shortly after 6 p.m. Friday.    

According to Fargo police, officers from their department, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, and the Metro Street Crimes Unit were working an investigation near the 1600 block of 35th Street S. when they found a person they knew had felony warrants. During the investigation, the suspect, Amar Kovacevic, fled into an apartment.   

Because of Kovacevic’s criminal history, the Red River Valley SWAT team was called in to help arrest him.   

Kovacevic was arrested for open warrants and booked into the Cass County Jail.
