MOORHEAD, Minn. – Winter weather is to blame for dozens of accidents across Minnesota Saturday and Sunday including two that were fatal.
The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting 250 crashes and around 100 spinouts. The two deaths occurred in Nobles County and Itasca County. Troopers say ice or wet roads factored into deadly crashes.
In Northwest and West Central Minnesota the State Patrol responded to 16 crashes, two of which involved non-life threatening injuries. There were 34 other vehicles that spun out/ran off road requiring trooper and/or tow truck assistance and 3 jackknifed semi trucks.
