The brackets were announced Sunday morning for the NCAA FCS playoffs, and the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks and NDSU Bison found out they will both be playing this upcoming Saturday, November 25 in the first round. There was some question on whether or not the Bison would get a top eight seed and a bye after their 48-27 win over Northern Iowa Saturday; but that was not the case. UND will host Sacramento State Saturday at the Alerus Center with a noon kickoff, and 11am pregame show on the Mighty 790 and 104.7 KFGO. The winner will face the University of South Dakota in Vermillion the following weekend.
NDSU will host Drake at the Fargodome with a 2:30 kickoff and the winner will travel to Bozeman to face the sixth seeded Montana State Bobcats. Here are the top eight seeds:
- SDSU
- Montana
- USD
- Idaho
- Albany
- Montana State
- Furman
- Villanova
