ABERDEEN, SD – Aberdeen police responded to a report of a man swinging a machete at people Thursday.
Officers told nearby businesses and a school to lock down as they arrived on scene.
After they were unable to talk the man into surrendering, officers used less-than-lethal rounds to take him into custody.
The man was taken to the hospital and faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault.
