MINNEAPOLIS – Former Governor Jesse Ventura and ten thousand others celebrated legal cannabis over the weekend at Surly Brewing.
Ventura says Minnesota has come a long way since he proposed the legalization of marijuana in the late 90s. He says to a Reformed Independence party governor, “There wasn’t one Democrat or Republican I could call a friend. I couldn’t even get one person to carry the bill.” Ventura says he was honored that Governor Tim Walz invited him to be part of the bill signing ceremony at the State Capitol.
Ventura said a lot of pro wrestlers used narcotics to treat their pain while he relied on marijuana.
