FARGO (KFGO) – An iconic north Fargo bar will have new ownership soon.
Wade Lindgren, who started working at the bar in 2002, has agreed to buy Chub’s Pub.
Lindgren said Chub’s is almost perfect, so there isn’t much to change.
“There will be changes at some point, I’m sure, like good things, bad things,” Lindgren said. “You try new things every year. Some of them work out great. Some don’t.”
Lindgren said what he doesn’t want to change is the great atmosphere the customers bring to Chub’s.
Chub’s Pub opened in 1966. Bill and Mark Doyle, who are father and son, bought the bar in 1980 and their family has owned it since then. Mark and his sister, Jan Ramstad, are the current owners.
Lindgren said there are a few things to wrap up with the purchase, but it should be completed within a week.
Chub’s Pub, located at 421 N. University Drive, opens at 8 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sundays.
