INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. – Minnesota-based CHS, the nation’s top farmer-owned agribusiness, will return $730 million in patronage and equity redemptions to its owners in 2024.
The payments follow last year’s record-breaking $1 billion distribution, and CHS said over the past decade it’s returned more than $3.2 billion to owners.
Analysts said farm income has been boosted by the war in Ukraine and post-pandemic demand for petroleum, but forecasters said producer income could be flattening.
