CHANHASSEN, MN – Forecasters say it’s going to be another extremely warm day on Labor Day across both North Dakota & Minnesota.
Multiple communities in central and southern Minnesota reported high temperatures in the triple digits on Sunday. The National Weather Service says it reached 102 degrees in Brainerd, Camp Ripley, and Staples, and 101 in Canby. Appleton, Benson, Madison, Moose Lake, and Red Wing all hit 100 yesterday. It was 99 in Blaine, Sauk Centre, and Marshall and 98 at Park Rapids in north-central Minnesota.
Heat advisories remain in effect for parts of central and southeastern Minnesota today with more highs expected in the mid to upper 90s. It could even reach 90 degrees in International Falls.
