BURLINGTON TWP., MINN. (KFGO) – A Sebeka man died in a crash Friday around 6:14 PM when the motorcycle driver fled at a high rate of speed after a Minnesota State Trooper attempted to stop a motorcycle traveling south on Becker County Highway 29.
The trooper lost sight of the motorcycle southbound on Hwy 29. After searching the area, the trooper located the motorcycle where it had left the roadway on a corner about 1.5 miles south of County Hwy 54. The 25-year-old driver, Levi Savela, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office, Frazee Police Department, Frazee Rescue Service, Frazee Fire Department, and Essentia-St. Mary’s EMS assisted with the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
