HILLMAN, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Health is urging anyone who recently purchased milk from Healthy Farm and Kitchen to throw out the products and not consume them.
Nine cases of illness, one of which was E. coli, was linked to raw milk sold by the Hillman farm. The milk may be labeled ‘A2 milk.’ Consumers may be unaware that it hasn’t been pasteurized and, when consumed raw or natural, can transmit multiple illnesses.
All affected people who became ill with gastrointestinal symptoms reported buying or drinking the raw milk before they got sick.
Four of the victims are under the age of 10 and one is hospitalized.
