HORACE, N.D. (KFGO) – Heritage Middle School in Horace was the target of a threat this morning.
Principal Michael Stecher, in an email to parents, said the North Dakota FBI notified the Cass County Sheriff’s Office that they received a threat mentioning the school. The Sheriff’s Office then notified school administration and sent deputies to assist school resource officers with security until the person who sent the threat could be found.
The person was found in an area not near the school and arrested. The suspect is in the Cass County Jail.
Stecher said there was no danger to anyone at the school at any point during the incident.
More information is expected to be released Wednesday.
