MAHNOMEN, Minn. (KFGO) – The White Earth Reservation Business Committee says that on the night before a recreational marijuana retail store opened in Mahnomen, an illegal cannabis dispensary was shut down on the reservation.
The dispensary was shut down Wednesday night, and the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, White Earth Police, and Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident.
White Earth says cannabis is heavily regulated by the state and the reservation. Production and sales of marijuana without a license is prohibited, and illegal cannabis within the reservation will be seized and destroyed.
White Earth leadership says everyone should use common sense when it comes to cannabis.
