The RiverArts Fishing Clinic is Tuesday, July 25 at Memorial Park in Moorhead from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. This free event is open for youth and their families to learn about, ask questions and practice fishing along the Red River. No need to pre-register, but adult supervision is required. Dress for the weather.
Learn some new skills by participating in the FUN interactive educational stations including casting, knot tying, fish identification and more! All (adults included) are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Catch a big one from the Red River! Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles, but a limited number will be available. Fishing license not required for youth 15 and under. This is a catch-and-release program. Bait will be supplied.
Volunteers are still needed to lead easy activities to help make this event successful. Contact Kim at kimberly@riverkeepers.org or 701.356.8915 to see where your skills and time can best be put to use.
This event is a part of Moorhead Parks and Recreation’s RiverArts. There will also be music by Hiahli, Buffalo River Singers and Dancers, a printmaking activity from Amanda Frost Creations, free carriage rides and more. Concessions will be available from the Moorhead Midday-Central Lions Club, and Swing Barrel Brewing Co. will have beer for purchase. Come enjoy the fun!
Project Partners include: River Keepers, F-M Walleyes Unlimited and Moorhead Parks and Recreation.
