GRAND FORKS COUNTY (KFGO) – One person was seriously injured in a crash Sunday night near Larimore, North Dakota. The two-vehicle collision happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and State Highway 18 shortly after 8:30 p.m.
The Highway Patrol said a car driven by a 48-year-old Grand Forks man was traveling north on Highway 18 when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and struck an SUV that was traveling on Highway 2.
The SUV veered into a ditch, rolled over, and came to rest on its wheels. The car ended up in the intersection. The 77-year-old Fargo woman driving the SUV was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with serious injuries.
The driver of the car was not injured. The Highway Patrol says he will be charged with failing to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign marked intersection.
