VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KFGO) – Two bicyclists were injured after they were struck by an SUV on a railroad overpass bridge about 5 miles west of Valley City around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The Highway Patrol said that a group of 15 bicyclists traveling from Texas to Alaska were crossing over the bridge when a vehicle struck the two women. They were taken to Mercy Hospital in Valley City and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The patrol said the car driver, 88-year-old Peter Schuck, of Sanborn, North Dakota, left the scene, but was later located by authorities. He was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an injury crash
