GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KNOX/KFGO) – The only movie theater in Grand Forks is set to close. AMC has announced it will close its Classic Grand Forks 10 at the end of the business day Thursday.
A company spokesman says AMC regularly evaluates locations and opportunities outside its circuit – and makes decisions to close or acquire locations on a theatre-to-theatre basis based on what will best position the company moving forward.
A property tax search of 2306 32nd Avenue South puts the value of the commercial site at just over $3 million dollars.
The closure leaves the River Cinema 15 in East Grand Forks (MN) as the sole movie theatre in the area.
