PORTER, Minn. – A man is dead after a grain bin accident Tuesday morning near the town of Porter in southwestern minnesota.
The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office says two people were initially trapped in the grain bin. A 62-year-old man was able to free himself, but a 27-year-old man was still trapped inside.
Crews worked more than an hour removing grain before they located the victim. Paramedics tried to save him, but he died at the scene.
The other man was treated and a first responder suffered a heat-related injury.
