FARGO, ND – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks victorious over the Gary SouthShore RailCats 9-1 Tuesday night.
The RedHawks got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when a Leo Pina RBI single plated Dillon Thomas to take a 1-0 lead.
Fargo-Moorhead added to the lead in the top of the third with Alec Olund scoring on an Evan Alexander RBI triple to left field. Alexander would score on a wild pitch to give the RedHawks a 3-0 lead.
The ‘Hawks added 3 runs in the home half of the fourth inning extending their lead to 6-0.
The RailCats got on the board with a Daniel Lingua RBI single that score Paul Mondesi in the top of the fifth inning to make it 6-1 RedHawks.
The RedHawks responded by adding 3 more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 9-1 lead.
Gary SouthShore added 2 runs in the top of the seventh inning cutting the ‘Hawks led to 9-3.
The RailCats put up another 3 runs in the top of the eighth to make it 9-6 RedHawks.
Fargo-Moorhead added a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to take a 10-6 lead.
The RedHawks continue their series with the RailCats Wednesday night, Jack Michaels will have the call, pregame at 6:40 p.m. first pitch 7:02 p.m. on 740 The Fan and 107.3FM.
