ST. CLOUD, MINN. (KFGO) – A man died after a high-speed chase in St. Cloud yesterday just after 2 PM. Three motorcycles were observed by an officer from the St. Cloud Police Department (SCPD) traveling southbound on Highway 15 at a high rate of speed.
The SCPD officer attempted to stop the motorcycles but was not able to catch up to the vehicles due to their high rate of speed. The motorcycles were exiting on the 33rd Street South ramp when one of the motorcyclists lost control and struck a guardrail off the road to the right.
The driver of the motorcycle, 25-year-old Jacob Olson of St. Cloud, was transported to St. Cloud Hospital and later pronounced deceased. The crash is under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
