
MAHNOMEN, Minn. (KFGO) – A man is in jail and two juveniles are hospitalized after a high-speed chase and rollover crash in northwestern Minnesota early Tuesday.
According to the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office, shortly before 3:30 a.m., officers saw a stolen vehicle on Highway 59 between Mahnomen and Waubun and began a pursuit.
Speeds during the chase, which went through the town of Mahnomen, reached up to 113 mph.
The chase ended when the vehicle turned onto Highway 200, left the highway, and rolled. One of the juveniles was ejected. He and another juvenile were airlifted to a hospital in Fargo.
The driver, 21-year-old Alexander Goeller of Mahnomen, and a third juvenile were taken to Mahnomen Medical Center. The juvenile was released. Goeller was taken to jail.
During the investigation, officers learned that several businesses in Ottertail had been burglarized by at least one of the people involved in the chase, and the vehicle was stolen from one of those businesses.
Officers also found a stolen gun.
