It’s been a busy spring, seeding season for Farm Rescue. Farm Rescue has expanded to helping producers in eight states. The nonprofit organization helps farmers and ranchers who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster by providing the necessary equipment and volunteers to plant, hay or harvest their crop. It takes about 75-100 volunteers throughout the spring to keep the two row crop planters and three air drills moving in the fields.
We met up the crew near Jud, North Dakota, southwest of Jamestown, planting soybeans for a farmer who underwent a heart procedure in April. Farm Rescue will assist 25-30 farmers this spring with planting their crops.
