UPDATE: City, state fire investigators look for cause of major fire in Moorhead Industrial Park

MOORHEAD (KFGO) – The cause of a major fire that heavily damaged a plastic fabrication company in south Moorhead is under investigation by the city fire marshal and a deputy state fire marshal.

The blaze at Pactiv Evergreen in the city’s industrial park south of I-94 broke out shortly after 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Fire Capt. Derek Berg says about half of the large building sustained significant smoke and fire damage. Berg says the fire department kept a watch on the scene overnight and put out some hot spots. It was the third major fire at the plant in recent years.
