DULUTH, Minn. (KFGO) – Two people are dead after a Duluth apartment fire Saturday morning.
Fire crews rescued several people from the eight-unit building and others escaped on their own.
One resident was pulled through a window and given first aid but later died in the hospital. Firefighters were attempting to rescue another person when the room flashed over, forcing them to escape through a window. That victim was later found dead.
Two firefighters suffered burns and their protective clothing was severely damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
