Car in flooded ditch along I-29 north of Fargo.
FARGO (KFGO) – North Dakota Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind is advising drivers to slow down because of potentially dangerous travel conditions caused by standing water on the roadways.
Five vehicles ended up in flooded ditches along I-29 in the Gardner – Grandin areas between Wednesday and Thursday morning. No injuries were reported.
Niewind said the mix of rain and snow can cause hydroplaning. That’s likely to happen when there is standing water on the roads and fast drivers can lose control of their vehicles and crash.
