MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) – A Devils Lake, North Dakota man has been sentenced to over 11 years in prison for an armed carjacking in Minnesota last July.
Joshua Sinawa, 27, walked up to a bakery delivery truck in the parking lot of a Cub Foods store in Blaine, pointed a gun at the driver, and told the driver to get out of the truck.
Court documents show that Sinawa then forced the driver to walk into the store at gunpoint. Sinawa left the victim in the store and fled in the truck.
Sinawa was sentenced to over four years for carjacking and seven years for brandishing a firearm during a violent crime. The sentences will run consecutively.
