TAYLORS FALLS, Minn. – Authorities in Chisago County northeast of the Twin Cities are searching the St. Croix River for a teen who fell from a cliff Tuesday night in Taylors Falls.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, an 18-year-old from Wisconsin was in Interstate Park near a rock ledge when he lost his footing and landed in the water.
A major search effort involving several law enforcement agencies was paused at nightfall and resumed Wednesday morning.
Deputies have asked the public to stay away from the search area due to the high-water flow and debris on the river.
