(KFGO/KNFL) The North Dakota East Region hockey regular season was completed on Tuesday night. Pairings are set for the postseason, starting with Saturday’s play-in games.
With Tuesday’s shootout win over Davies, Red River vaulted into the #1 seed. Grand Forks Central moved to the #3 seed after Tuesday’s win over Fargo North as they owned the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Spartans.
Saturday’s play-in games:
- #9 Grafton-Park River (8-12-1) at #8 Devils Lake (3-16-2), 1:30
- #10 May-Port CG (11-8-1) at #7 West Fargo (6-14-1), 1:30
**NOTE** May-Port CG doesn’t play a full EDC Schedule and is automatically the #10 seed.
Tuesday’s quarterfinals:
- Grafton/Devils Lake winner at #1 Red River, 7:00
- #5 Sheyenne at #4 Fargo North, 7:30 at Carlson Coliseum
- May-Port CG/West Fargo winner at #2 South-Shanley, 7:00 at Farmers Union Rink (Scheels Arena)
- #6 Fargo Davies at #3 Grand Forks Central, 7:00
The remainder of the tournament will be played at Purpur Arena in Grand Forks February 17 and 18. The top four teams advance to the state tournament at Ralph Engelstad Arena February 23-25.
