BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO PRAIRIE PUBLIC) β The North Dakota House has approved a resolution, calling for American flags to be made out of North Dakota-grown hemp
Hazen Republican Rep. Bill Tveit said this came from someone in Legislative District 21, who is hoping to manufacture flags from hemp fiber.
βHe is frustrated, the same as I am, with the fact that most American flags are made in China out of inferior material, and do not stand up in the weather here in North Dakota,β Tveit said. β
The resolution was approved via voice vote. It will now be considered in the state Senate.
