Moorhead Fire chief Jeff Wallin
MOORHEAD (KFGO) – The Moorhead City Council has unanimously approved Jeff Wallin as the new city fire chief.
He has been with the fire department since 1994 at various levels and was named interim fire chief in June of 2021 after then-fire chief Rich Duysen stepped down during a time of friction within the fire department staff.
Wallin told the city council he has dedicated his life to public service and to the Moorhead Fire Department and it is his honor to become the 10th chief.
City Manager Dan Mahli said the council’s decision was “a big win for Moorhead.”
