How do you fight inflation? Stop buying. Shop smarter.
When Diet Coke hit $13 for a 24 pack regular price and eggs are $.50 each for $6 a dozen I asked myself. What have I done personally to reduce my personal cost and budget?
I’ve intentionally shopped around even more looking for the best price of the staples. I have a couple of major purchases I keep putting off. Repairs instead of replacement. Smaller and cheaper instead of bigger better and more expensive.
Menards had a 15% off bag. I put Diet Shasta Cola in it and turned my $13 Diet Coke into $7.50 Diet Cola. Is it the same? No. But it makes me feel better.
I feel like it’s turning into a personal challenge as to how I can reduce my spending and find better deals. Inflation is making me a smarter shopper.
What are you doing to fight the rising costs of living?
