Republican debt ceiling plan may cause ‘economic catastrophe’ – White House

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Republicans’ plan to honor only some of the United States’ debts is a “recipe for economic catastrophe” that threatens the global economy, the White House said Tuesday.
